Pricing Guide

Pricing for commercial product photography has traditionally been complex as there are many processes to creating an image. This includes the photography itself, studio and equipment time, post-production as well as ongoing image usage rights.

To help simplify this, we have created the pricing guide below which covers both e-commerce photography on a white background as well as Lifestyle/Editorial images using a per-image blended rate. Whilst this will give a good indication of budgetary costs, I would always recommend giving us a call to discuss your requirements in more detail and we will be able to give you an accurate quotation.

If you’re working to a particular budget, then please give us a call and we will see how we can help.

Product Photography on a White Background

Often referred to as the Amazon look, product photography on a white background has become the defacto standard for e-commerce.  It gives your potential customers a clean, clear and uncluttered view of your products from multiple angles.  This popular look may seem straightforward, but these images rarely are. They can be technically challenging, especially with jewellery or items with reflective or transparent surfaces.

To help simplify things, we offer a set price on a sliding scale for this type of photography as follows:

Number of Images RequiredStandard ItemsComplex Items
Up to 9 Images£22.00£29.00
10 – 20 Image£18.00£24.50
20+ Images£15.00£22.00
50+ Images£12.00£18.50
100+ ImagesPOAPOA

The above pricing is based on product photography on a white or simple consistent coloured background and includes basic post-production (colour balancing and basic digital clean-up). Additional retouching can be provided at a cost of £50 +VAT per hour.

If required clipping paths can also be supplied at an additional cost.  Clipping paths are used to separate the product from the background so that the product is on a transparent background.

Please note, there is a minimum charge of £95+VAT on all bookings.

Lifestyle and editorial images.

A great way to enhance your e-commerce site or Amazon listing is to add some lifestyle or editorial images showing your product in use.

We offer Editorial and Lifestyle images at the same per image rate as our white background photography plus a small setup charge for creating your chosen backdrop. The setup charge varies depending on the complexity of the set and props needed. Most lifestyle shoots require a simple studio set that we can create for you. We have a comprehensive selection of props and backgrounds, however, should you require some specialist props, we can source these items at cost where needed.  If you would like to use your own props,  just send these together with your products, and we can incorporate them into the images.

Should you require a more complex background set we can assist with hire of a location, models and construction of room sets.

Our standard (minium) charge for creating a set is £45 which includes the first shot in that set and allows 30 minutes for building the set and getting everything ready.

We can adjust the set slightly, altering props, changing angles without incurring further charges, so that every image is unique. For more significant changes, there may be additional setup fees.

First day back in the studio after my holiday, so here is some recent work to start the week off.

Product and Jewellery photography doesn`t always have to be on a white background. I think the gold background surface really helps to emphasise the luxurious feel of these bracelets.
